FESA Requirements
To qualify for FESA, you must serve in a role as outlined in NFPA 1022 within a public safety organization. Providing an organizational chart is required to confirm your position within a public safety organization.
You must also achieve 100 eligibility points which can be earned through education and experience and based on your department profile:
- Education points range from 20 to 90 and can include an Academic Certificate
- Experience points range from 2 to 30 points based on your length of service in an analyst position
- Department profile points range from 10 to 60 based on the number of programs (e.g. EMS, Fire Suppression) your department offers and if your department is CFAI-accredited
- Additional points may be earned dependent on other CPC designations you hold and your involvement in the CFAI accreditation process
